Spiral Wound Gasket with an external guide ring is the most popular type.  The Guide Ring provides high support for centring in between the flanges & supports the gasket from excess compression& provides radial strength and stop blow out. A general purpose gasket can be used with Raised Face & Flat  Face flanges up to 2500 class. An additional internal ring will be fixed to provide extra compression stop & acts as a heat and corrosion barrier. This inturn protects gasket windings & preventing flange erosion. Well suited for Raised Face & Flat Face flanges up to 2500 class. Sealing element comprises of SS winding & soft filler with pure steel windings alone in outer & inner diameters to provide extra stability & strength with good compression. Suitable for tongue & groove or male & female or grooved to flat face flange assemblies.
